A woman has died following a road accident in Ringsfield.

A woman has died following a road accident in Ringsfield.

Police were called just before 2am today - Thursday 13th January, to reports of a single-vehicle collision on School Road, near Top Road.

Fire crews and the air ambulance were in also in attendance at the incident, where a blue Ford Fiesta collided with a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle – a woman aged in her 20s – was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting reference: CAD 17 of 13 January.
