A 78-year-old charity fundraiser has set off from Lowestoft on a walk of more than 400 miles across England to St Davids in Wales.
John Parry, known as Welsh Grandad, is raising money for cancer charities as he takes on the challenge.
His route will see him travel through east Suffolk, including Beccles, before continuing west towards Wales.
Supporters from East Suffolk One Radio wished John luck as he began his journey and encouraged local people to look out for him along the route, which started on Sunday 21st June - which is also Suffolk Day.
Funds raised from the challenge will support cancer charities including Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Farleigh Hospice and St David's Hospice.
Residents in east Suffolk are being encouraged to show their support as John passes through the area during the opening stages of his walk - and donations can be made on the link here.
