Police are appealing for witnesses after two assaults outside a pub in Beccles. Both incidents occurred on Monday 16th September outside the King’s Head in the town’s New Market when a man was assaulted by four suspects at around 7.50pm. He suffered minor injuries. His wife was then assaulted half an hour later at the same location. She was unhurt. The four suspects involved in the first assault are described as two white males (one aged late 40s, bald and wearing jeans and a white and cream polo shirt; the other is in his early 20s, with short fair hair and glasses, wearing a light T-shirt, loose green-striped shirt and pale shorts), one white female (in her 20s, slim build wearing a cream T-shirt) and a black male (mid-40s and wearing a tan polo shirt). The suspect in the second assault fits the description of the younger white male in the first assault. Anyone who witnessed these incidents or who has any information is asked to contact Suffolk Police, quoting crime reference 37/54395/23 (first assault) or 37/54428/23.
