Saturday is a big day for Suffolk as Suffolk Day and the summer solstice fall together at the same time.
Crowds gathered again at Lowestoft's Ness Point, as the sun emerged above the horizon and illuminated the Suffolk coast.
It was a very early start for many - and is set to be a big weekend for Suffolk's second bigest town - with Suffolk Day celebrations also taking place across the county.
Lowestoft Town Council is hosting a civic ceremony in London Road North, which will include Suffolk medals being presented. Later Saturday, the south beach will host the First Light Festival. It's the fifth year for the UK's only free beach festival, with a host of entertainment and activites taking place across the weekend.
A number of venues will be used for the festival, including the East Point Pavillion.
