Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A12 in Henstead. Officers were called by the Ambulance Service at 9.15pm last night (Tuesday 5th January), to reports of a collision involving a man out walking and a blue Vauxhall Corsa. The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the James Paget Hospital for treatment to a potentially life-changing leg injury. The northbound side of the road was closed for over two hours, reopening at 11.35pm.
Any witnesses – including anyone driving in the area at the time with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle – are asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Police Headquarters, Martlesham, by phoning 101.
