Police are appealing for witnesses after a three-year-old child was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Saxmundham.
The incident happened at around 8.40am Friday (5th June) on Main Road, near the doctors' surgery. Police say the child's mother was pushing the youngster in a buggy along the footpath when the child fell into the carriageway.
A small red vehicle travelling along the road then collided with the child, who suffered multiple broken bones.
Police say the driver of the vehicle has not yet been identified and are appealing for them to come forward.
Officers are also keen to trace a person who stopped at the scene to help before leaving without providing their details, as they may have information that could assist the investigation.
