More than a dozen people were told to leave their homes - following a gas main incident in Worlingham.
Emergency service say that a car hit the gas main on Lowestoft Road in Worlingham just before 5.30pm Sunday evening (21st July) - with loud sounds of gas escpaing being reported by several wintnesses.
There were also reports of a strong smell of gas hundreds of metres away from the site of the accident.
Police closed Lowestoft road between Woodland Avenue and Rectory Lane and 14 people were evacuated as a precaution. There were no reports of any injuries.
Fire crews from Lowestoft, Leiston and Beccles attended the incident alongside Suffolk Police.
Cadent gas engineers have been at the scene and working to fix the gas main as as soon as possible.
