A local grower from near Bungay has harvested a “monster” pumpkin that tipped the scales at 368 kg.
It was weighed using a mixer wagon, with bale and pallet tared off first. This impressive gourd will be on display at Fen Farm Dairy at their Flixton farm shop from in the build up to Halloween.
While it’s a standout locally here in Suffolk, it does not threaten global records — the official world record currently stands at over 1,200 kg.
Currently the heaviest pumpkin on record weighed 2,749 lb - around 1,246.9 kg, grown in the USA.
