An historic and one of the biggest weekend’s for years is in store for Lowestoft, with Britain’s best bikers in town and a new bridge opening.
Gull Wing, the third crossing over Lake Lothing, will be officially opened tomorrow morning from 9 for those on foot - and from midday to traffic.
After decades of debate, plans and discussions - the opening of the bridge really will mark an historic day for Suffolk's second largest town.

Meanwhile, on Sunday - the Tour of Britain men’s cycle race sixth and final stage will leave Lowestoft amidst a mass of events on the seafront at half ten.
The route will pass through many of our market town's including Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth, Framlingham, Saxmundham and Leiston.

Stay with East Suffolk One for all the action over the coming days.
