A Lowestoft man has been given a suspended prison sentence after police discovered more than 1,000 indecent images of children in his possession.
Stuart Craig was sentenced following an investigation by Suffolk Constabulary into digital offences involving illegal images.
Officers uncovered the material during their enquiries, leading to the case being brought before the courts. Craig was subsequently handed a suspended custodial sentence along with strict conditions imposed as part of the court’s ruling.
Police say the case forms part of ongoing work to identify and prosecute individuals involved in the possession and distribution of indecent images of children.
Suffolk Constabulary continues to urge anyone with concerns about online exploitation or suspicious activity to report it so that officers can investigate.
The case highlights the role of specialist investigators in tackling digital offences and protecting vulnerable people.
