If you are out and about over the next few days, keep an eye out for the Festival Torch Relay which will be taking to the streets in our part of Suffolk.
From Thursday 26th May, the torch will head into east Suffolk and over the following days some of the places en route for the torch are Bungay, Beccles, Lowestoft, Southwold, Halesworth and Leiston.
Travelling by rickshaw, the torch will cover a total of 588 miles as it passes through 250 towns and villages.
Local heroes will be carrying the torch, which will eventuallytake pride of place in the Jubilee Pageant at the Suffolk Show.
From 26th to 30th May the torch will tak a routhe that meanders through many of our villages, as well as towns. Full details of the route can be found here .
