Glastonbury would take over Suffolks second town
If Glastonbury Came to Lowestoft… It Would Stretch from Yarmouth Road to the Gull Wing!
Ever wondered how big Glastonbury really is? Thanks to an interactive map, we can now see what the famous festival would look like if it landed right here in Lowestoft — and it’s massive.

The site would stretch from Yarmouth Road all the way to the Gull Wing Bridge, taking over much of the town centre, seafront, and even parts of Oulton Broad. That’s over 900 acres of music, tents and glitter — right on our doorstep! (Spoiler - this is not happening).
And Suffolk had more than a few links to Glasto this weekend too…
🎤 Ed Sheeran — who grew up in Framlingham — made a surprise appearance with The Gaslight Anthem, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
🎶 Meanwhile, Gabrielle (a long-time Suffolk resident) lit up the Avalon Stage with her soulful classics.
Lowestoft might be a long way from Worthy Farm, but just imagine the Pyramid Stage rising above the South Beach…
