Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault was reported in Halesworth.
The incident took place between 2.50pm and 3pm on Sunday 4th May.
The victim was walking through an alleyway by Pound Close and Saxons Way when he passed two unknown males. An altercation then took place between the two males and the victim in the alleyway.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was assaulted and suffered reddening and bruising to his body. The two adult males fled the scene towards Saxons Way and were described as wearing hoodies.
It is believed other pedestrians and residents in nearby properties may have witnessed the incident.
Officers would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone with any information, including residents with video doorbells or drivers with dash-cameras in their vehicles that may have recorded the incident.
