Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision near the Suffolk Norfolk border at Hopton.
The incident happened at around 8.40pm on Wednesday 11th December 2024, on the southbound carriageway of the A47 between Hopton and Gorleston, when a blue Vaxuhall Astra collided with a white Range Rover Evoque.
Sadly, the driver of the Range Rover, a man aged in his 30s, died at the scene.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a man aged in his 20s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving. He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene including fire and ambulance.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving prior to the collision happening. Anyone with any information or any relevant dashcam footage is asked to get in touch with police
