Emergency services are currently at the scene of an incident in Lowestoft.
Officers were called to Grosvenor Road at approximately 6.45pm yesterday, Saturday 18th July, to a report of a disturbance and a physical altercation believed to involve a small group of people.
Officers attended and a potential male suspect was seen in St John’s Road, in south Lowestoft.
The man then climbed onto the roof of a property in St John’s Road, where he currently remains.
Police, including specialist officers, were joined by the fire and ambulance services. Road closures currently remain in place on St John’s Road and Mill Road.
Shortly after being called to the initial altercation an injured man was located. He was supported by officers and paramedics and taken to hospital for treatment. The man, aged 40, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre (PIC) for questioning, where he currently remains.
In connection with the initial incident, a 13-year-old boy was arrested at 7.35pm on 18th July on suspicion of common assault, obstructing a police officer and assaulting an emergency worker. He was taken to Great Yarmouth PIC for questioning, where he currently remains.
