A manslaughter investigation has been launched following the death of a man at a care home in Lowestof
Police were called to Dell Care Home after a man in his 70s reportedly became unwell following an alleged assault by another resident, a man in his 80s.
The East of England Ambulance Service attended, but the man died at the scene.
Suffolk Police say they are treating the case as a manslaughter investigation and are working with partner agencies and the care home to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
A Home Office post-mortem examination is due to take place.
An 81-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation. He has since been bailed and is due to return to police on 5th October 2026.
Police say the families of both men have been informed and enquiries are continuing.
