Blyburgate Hall in Beccles was filled to capacity for a screening of The People's Emergency Briefing, a film examining climate change, nature and the environment.
The event attracted around 100 people and explored the challenges posed by climate change, alongside the lifestyle changes and actions that can help reduce future impacts.
Beccles Mayor Joe Athorn Chaired the event - and Lowestoft and Beccles MP Jess Asato was among those attending. Speaking to East Suffolk One, she said east Suffolk is well placed to benefit from the ongoing transition towards renewable energy.
The event also included discussion on environmental issues affecting communities and the role individuals, businesses and governments can play in responding to climate change.
Organisers described the evening as an opportunity to inform, encourage discussion and highlight practical ways people can help address environmental challenges.
