Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked by a dog in Leiston.
The incident occurred at approximately 11.55am on Thursday 30th January, in Hodgson Avenue.
The victim – a woman aged in her 20s – was walking her own dog when both herself and her dog were bitten by another dog, which appeared to have escaped from a nearby property.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to puncture wounds to her face and hand and dog was checked over by a vet having also sustained puncture wounds.
Officers have now identified the owner of the suspect dog and they will be interviewed in due course.
