The Ravine which is one-way, runs from Yarmouth Road to Cart Score and will be shut to traffic from now until Friday the 10th December.
Suffolk Highways say that diversions via Artillery Way and Whapload Road are in place, as work on the Jubilee Bridge continues.
The footbridge links North Parade with Belle Vue Park - and has been closed for several months ahead of the repair work which started this week.
