A serious collision closed a busy stretch of the A146 between Beccles and Lowestoft for much of Friday (1st August), causing major disruption for local drivers.
The road was shut in both directions between the A145 Copland Way at North Cove near the Three Horse Shoes and the A146/A1145/Beccles Road junction at Carlton Colville.
Emergency services were on scene as police put diversions in place while they dealt with the incident. Long delays were reported on nearby alternative roads.
The closure is affecting traffic through Carlton Colville and Oulton Broad as well as villages such as Mutford and Henstead, with knock-on delays expected across the local road network.
Police reopened the road on Friday evening and thanked motorists for thor patience during the closure.
