Bungay residents asked for views on Earsham Street bus shelter

Bungay Town Council is asking residents to have their say on the future of the Route 81 bus shelter on Earsham Street.

A public consultation has been launched following requests for the shelter, outside The Source, to be removed.

Those calling for its removal say it is used infrequently, takes up too much space and has become an eyesore and a nuisance for pedestrians.

The survey will remain open until 31st August 2026, giving residents the opportunity to share their views before a decision is made.

Councillors will discuss the results at a committee meeting in September, when they will decide whether the shelter should remain or be removed.

The date of the meeting will be announced on Bungay Town Council's website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

Residents with questions about the consultation can contact the Town Clerk, Julie Bird, by email.
