Lowestoft's historic Scores Photographic Competition

Wilde's Score is just one in the town's historic High Street area

Locals and visitors are being encouraged to explore Lowestoft's historic Scores as part of a new photography competition.

The Walk the Scores Photo Competition, organised by the Lowestoft Town Hall Project, invites people to photograph the town's network of historic pathways linking the High Street with the lower town.

Organisers are encouraging entrants to capture the beauty, history and unique character of the Scores, from cobbled lanes and flint walls to hidden features and coastal views.

Participants can submit one photograph for each of the 12 participating Scores, giving photographers multiple chances to enter. Each entry must include the photograph, the entrant's name and the name of the Score featured in the image.

The competition is open until 24th August, with entries accepted until midnight on the closing date.

Prizes will be awarded for the best photographs, with organisers hoping the competition will encourage more people to discover Lowestoft's heritage while enjoying a walk through some of the town's most distinctive and historic locations.

Details of how to enter can be found here.
