The body of a man who went missing - after the boat he was on sank on the River Waveney near North Cove - has been found.
The body of a man who went missing - after the boat he was on sank on the River Waveney near North Cove - has been found.
Police were called to the discovery just before 10 o’clock on Thursday morning by a member of the public.
Emergency services were initially called to the incident on Monday evening, with reports that five people were on the sinking boat between Barnby and North Cove.
Four of the people managed to escape from the water, but one man – aged in his 30s - was unaccounted for.
HM Coastguard, fire and ambulance crews have been at the scene this week assisting police. Although the deceased has not been formally identified, he is currently believed to be the missing man and his family have been informed of the discovery.
