Police investigate unexplained death of woman at Southwold campsite

Police are appealing for witnesses following the unexplained death of a 34-year-old woman at a Southwold campsite.

Officers were called to Southwold Caravan and Camping Site on Ferry Road at around 2.10pm on Saturday, 22nd August, after the ambulance service reported a suspected medical incident.

The woman was found unresponsive inside a tent by a man she had been camping with.

Ambulance crews, including the air ambulance, attended, but the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is currently being treated as unexplained, and police enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a man and woman camping at the site in the days leading up to the weekend and who has not yet spoken to police.
