The first £100,000 raised for the Dunwich Heath wildfire recovery appeal is being match-funded by East Suffolk Trust.
Organisers have thanked everyone who has donated to the appeal and supported additional fundraising efforts following the devastating wildfire.
The matched funding will help pay for specialist work needed to assess and support the heath's recovery.
This includes ecological surveys, repairing damaged infrastructure, making the site safe and ongoing monitoring.
Organisers say some parts of the heath may recover naturally, while other areas will require more active intervention.
The longer-term aim is to restore the landscape and make it better equipped to withstand the challenges of a changing climate.
The appeal organisers say the latest funding marks the beginning of the next phase of recovery, with a photograph taken during a recent site visit described as symbolising their hope for the future of Dunwich Heath.
