Competitions — Standard Terms & Conditions

These are our standard terms for every competition, prize draw, contest or promotion run by East Suffolk One. By entering, you agree to these terms together with any Specific Terms published for an individual promotion.

#Promoter

1. The Promoter is East Suffolk One (“we”, “us”, “our”).
2. If a competition has additional sponsors or prize providers, they’ll be named in the Specific Terms.

#Eligibility

1. Unless stated otherwise, competitions are open only to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).
2. Unless stated otherwise, entrants must be 18+ at the time of entry.
3. Volunteers, officers, agents and close family members of East Suffolk One, or anyone directly involved in administering a competition, are not eligible (unless the Specific Terms explicitly allow it).
4. We may require proof of age, identity and UK residency before awarding a prize.

#How to Enter

1. Enter in the manner and by the deadline stated in the competition announcement/Specific Terms.
2. Late, incomplete, corrupted or bulk/automated entries are void. We’re not responsible for technical failures that prevent entry.
3. Unless stated otherwise, there’s a limit of one entry per person.

#Prizes

1. All prizes are subject to availability; where necessary we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
2. Any personal costs, taxes or expenses not expressly included are the winner’s responsibility.

#Winner Selection & Notification

1. Where the promotion is a prize draw, the winner(s) will be selected at random from all valid entries.
2. We’ll contact winners using the details supplied on entry. If a winner doesn’t respond or is ineligible, we may award the prize to another entrant.
3. The Station management team’s decision is final in the event of any dispute or tie-break; no correspondence will be entered into.

#Claiming Prizes

1. Winners may be asked to provide proof of eligibility (age/ID/address) before a prize is issued.
2. Physical prizes are delivered to a UK address within a reasonable timeframe after confirmation.

#Publicity

1. Winners may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity. You can object to publication of your surname/county, but we may still need to share details with regulators if requested.

#Data Protection

1. We’ll use your personal data to administer the competition and fulfil prizes, in line with our Privacy Policy. Prize providers may receive your details solely to deliver the prize.

#Liability & Changes

1. We’re not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation or prize use, except where caused by our negligence or breach of statutory duty.
2. We may cancel, suspend or amend a competition where necessary (e.g. technical issues or events beyond our control).

#Legal

1. These Terms & Conditions (and any Specific Terms) are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
2. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
