Leiston residents are being asked to volunteer for a scheme aimed at tackling potential breaches of HGV weight restrictions.
The Lorry Watch Scheme helps local communities monitor heavy goods vehicles using routes where weight restrictions are in place.
Volunteers in Leiston will receive training before acting as observers, recording details of vehicles that may be using restricted routes unlawfully.
Reports are then passed to Trading Standards, which investigates potential breaches. The organisation provides communities with six-monthly updates on enforcement activity and outcomes.
The scheme is intended to help protect sensitive towns and villages from unnecessary HGV traffic, as well as potential environmental damage and road wear.
Anyone in Leiston interested in becoming a volunteer is being encouraged to find out more about the scheme and how to get involved, with details on this link.
