East Suffolk MPs have entered the debate on the future of Suffolk’s libraries.
Lowestoft, Suffolk Coastal and Waveney Valley MPs are amongst those who have all called on Suffolk County Council for a consultation on the issue - so local people can have their say.
Last month the County Council announced plans to bring the running of all libraries - back ‘in house’ after years of them being run as charities.
The MPs say a full consultation would allow full scrutiny of the move for libraries, including those in Bungay, Halesworth and Leiston.
