East Suffolk Spring Clean

Residents across East Suffolk are being encouraged to take part in the Great British Spring Clean.

The national campaign, which runs until Sunday, aims to bring communities together to tackle litter and improve local environments.

People are invited to organise or join litter picks in their area, with support available for those who register events, including equipment and collection of waste.

Participants are also being encouraged to share their efforts by posting photos using the hashtag #EastSuffolksAmazing.

Those living near the coast can take part in additional activity by helping the Marine Conservation Society track the types of litter found on beaches. This involves recording items collected as part of a “Source to Sea Litter Quest”.

Organisers say the campaign is about encouraging communities to take pride in their surroundings while contributing to wider environmental efforts.

Residents can find out more and register their involvement online.
