
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was bitten by a dog in Southwold.
The incident happened at around 6:40pm o Wednesday (8th October) near the Co-op Food Store on Market Place.
A woman reported that as she left the shop, an Alsatian-type dog, which had been tied up and barking outside, slipped its lead and bit her, puncturing and bruising the skin.
The dog’s owner – described as a white man in his 20s, about 6ft tall, of slim build, and dressed all in black with his hood up – came out of the store to secure his dog but did not speak to the woman before leaving.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who recognises the man or dog involved, to get in touch.
