People in Bungay and the surrounding villages are being encouraged to consider volunteering, with opportunities currently available at Bungay Community Centre.
The centre is looking for friendly volunteers to help support a range of local events and community activities. Roles include helping to run the bar during events, meeting and greeting people as they arrive, and assisting with organising and running activities such as fun days, quizzes and bingo sessions.
Organisers say no previous experience is necessary, making the roles accessible to anyone willing to lend a hand and get involved in community life. Volunteering is being promoted as a way to meet new people, gain skills and play an active role in supporting local events.
The call for volunteers comes as part of a wider push to highlight the benefits of volunteering across Bungay. Several groups and organisations in the area are said to be in need of help for just a few hours a week.
An article focusing on volunteering and its benefits will also feature in the upcoming spring edition of Bungay Life magazine.
Details on how to get involved get be found on the Bungay Community Centre website.
