Two people have been charged with attempted murder following an incident that took place in Beccles.
It took place on Saturday 18 November at about 2.45am on London Road. A victim, a man aged in his 50s, was attacked by a group of people who emerged from a car. The victim was pulled to the floor and stamped on.
The group then returned to the vehicle and then when they drove then drove over the victim’s torso before driving off. Officers attended and found the male victim with serious injuries.
He was taken to the James Paget hospital for treatment where he remains with his condition currently described as stable.
Officers conducted enquiries and arrested two males the following day (Sunday) and they were taken into custody for questioning.
Nathan Baker, aged 19 and of Quay Street in Halesworth and Daniel Hermon of Market Place in Southwold aged 26 were both charged with attempted murder.
They were remanded and are due to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court on Monday 20th November.
