Police have named a man who died in a single-vehicle collision in Reydon, as his family pay tribute to a much-loved son, brother and partner.
Emergency services were called to the A1095 Halesworth Road after a grey Ford Focus left the carriageway and was found on its side. Fire and ambulance crews attended, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Subject to formal inquest confirmation, the man has been identified as Joe Bullen, aged 47, from Barnet in north London.
Joe’s family have described him as kind, gentle and creative, with a wide range of interests including music, carpentry and building projects. They said he loved spending time in Suffolk and knew Reydon well, having enjoyed many happy visits to the area over the years.
In a tribute, his family said Joe had an infectious sense of humour and a natural ability to make friends wherever he went. They also thanked the emergency services for their swift response and professionalism at the scene.
Officers from the Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash. They are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who was driving in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage, to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting reference number 37/66877/25.
