People have the chance to find out more about medieval coins that were discovered as part of the Sizewell C development.
A special event is being held at Leiston’s Waterloo Centre over the coming weekend - and will include finds from excavations in the area for the new nuclear power station.
Family activities also offer the chance to meet archaeologists working on the site and find out more about the coins which date back almost 1000 years.
This special weekend will showcase:
- Finds from our excavations as part of the Sizewell C development site
 - Insights into the archaeology already uncovered through this work
 - A chance to meet the archaeologists working on the site
 - Family activities, including “Make Your Anglo-Saxon Village” and “Create Your Own Medieval Coin”
 - Plus, coin specialist Alexander Bliss will be giving talks on the remarkable coin hoard (at 11am and 1:30pm each day)
