
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Knodishall.
Police were called to the B1119 just before 4:20pm yesterday, Thursday 10th July, following reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a blue Fiat Punto and a grey Tesla.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue, East of England Ambulance service and air ambulance were all in attendance to the incident.
The driver of the Fiat, a man aged in his 80s, sustained serious injuries, which are being treated as life threatening. He was originally taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance before being transferred to Addenbrookes’ Hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the Tesla, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to Ipswich Hospital as a precaution.
The B1119 was closed in both directions for collision investigation work and reopened at approximately 2:30am on Friday 11th July.
