A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident in Lowestoft.

Officers were called to Sparrow’s Nest Gardens in the town at 10.13pm last night, Friday 20 March. On arrival officers found a man, aged in his 50s, who was unresponsive. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man was later declared deceased. The incident is being treated as a murder investigation. The family of the deceased have been made aware. A 28-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation for questioning, where she currently remains. This is being treated as an isolated incident and the parties involved are understood to have been known to each other. A Home Office post-mortem will take place in due course. Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information. This includes anyone driving in the area around the time that may have a dash camera.
