The family of a man missing from Framlingham have been told that a body has been found in Essex.
43-year-old Edward Osborne was reported as missing on Tuesday 14 January. His car was located in the Gainsborough area of Ipswich three days later, Friday 17th January.
Officers conducted searches around the River Orwell and surrounding coastline, assisted by Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SulSAR) and HM Coastguard.
A body was recovered on the shoreline in Harwich on Friday 14th March.
No formal identification has yet been made but Edward’s next of kin have been notified and a file will be prepared for the Coroner in due course.
