Police are appealing for witnesses following a reported hate crime incident in Halesworth.
The incident happened in a car park on Angel Link, next to the Angel Hotel, between 8.45am and 9.05am on Tuesday (10th March).
Officers say a woman in her 40s had just parked her car when she was approached by a man. Following a dispute about parking, the man is reported to have shouted racial abuse at the victim.
Police say the woman was left very shaken by the incident.
A 49-year-old man was arrested in connection with the report the following day and has since been released on bail with conditions. He is due to return to police on 15th April while enquiries continue.
CCTV footage shows several people were in the area at the time, and officers believe they may have information that could assist the investigation.
