A man has died after a light aircraft crashed at Ellough airfield near Beccles.
A total of 7 Suffolk fire crews from as far away as Woodbridge were called to the scene of the incident, which happemed just after 2pm on Thursday afternoon (24th March).
Police and Ambulance crews were also at the scene - with Suffolk Police confirming that the plane with one person on board was trying to land.
Investigations into what happened will now begin - Police remained on the scene on Friday (25th March).
The overtunrned aircraft could still be seen in a neighbouring field with the white tail wing pointing up.
