A Beccles woman who lost her eye to cancer will receive a prosthetic one thanks to the support of the community.
After experiencing headaches, Alaina Ratcliffe booked an eye test which is when the cancer was picked up; she had surgery to remove the eye a few weeks later. She was then hoping to get a prosthetic eye but the cost was expensive. Specsavers in Beccles set up a fundraiser with a target of £1,200. It took just 1 day to reach the goal with the total standing at more than £2,100 raised so far.
