A local community support group is celebrating after funding is awarded from the National Lottery.
Bungay Community Support has been awarded close toy £20,000 from the lottery's ’Awards for All’ fund. The money will be used to cover day to day running costs for the year.
The charity offers a befriending service to tackle isolation and loneliness, provide low cost food provision and runs events and activities to bring the community together.
Bungay Community Support started as an emergency outreach lifeline during the Covid 19 pandemic and lockdown in 2020.
