Benjamin Britten was a surprise guest at the end of this years First Light Festival
In a stirring culmination to the day's festivities, Ruth from the 'Britten as a Boy' campaign brought the remarkable Benjamin Britten statue to the Garden Stage. The statue, a testament to the famed composer's early years in Suffolk, was warmly received by the gathered crowd.

Ruth, chair of the campaign committee, took center stage to introduce the statue, addressing the audience before orchestrating a community photo. This moment allowed locals to express their solidarity and support for the statue, which aims to honor Britten's legacy in his hometown.
