Today's marks the 166th birthday of the East Suffolk Railway Lines.
The 1st June is the day 166 years ago when the Halesworth, Beccles and Haddiscoe Railway become the East Suffolk Railway - when the lined opened north and into Great Yarmouth, as well as east to Lowestoft and south to Ipswich.
Branch lines included those to Kirkley and Sanpe for goods only - plus Leiston and Framlingham.
