Communities across East Suffolk will come together today, for Remembrance Sunday ceremonies.
Services, parades and wreath-laying events will take place in towns and villages including Lowestoft, Leiston, Beccles and Saxmundham, giving residents the opportunity to remember members of the Armed Forces who lost their lives in conflict, as well as those who continue to serve.
In Lowestoft, the parade will set off along the seafront past Royal Green, before making its way to the War Memorial on Royal Plain, where the main service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place. The service is due to begin at 10.50am, ahead of the two-minute silence at 11am.
In Leiston, the parade will start at the Cadet Centre on Victory Road at 10.30am. In Beccles, the main wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial on St Mary's Road is scheduled for 2pm, followed by a procession to St Michael's Church for a service at 3pm.
People across the district are invited to attend their local commemorations and take a moment to reflect and pay their respects.
