Suffolk Pub Set to Shut

A well-known pub in Lound has announced it will be closing its doors after more than a decade.

The Village Maid will shut on Sunday - 22nd March, with owners describing the decision as a difficult one after years of serving the local community.

In a statement, they said the closure follows a decision to focus their time and energy on other core pubs and a growing events programme.

The venue has been a familiar part of the local scene, hosting customers for food, drinks and community gatherings over the years.

Owners thanked everyone who has supported the pub, including customers and staff, saying the business has been built on their dedication and loyalty.

They added that while The Village Maid will close in its current form, new owners are expected to take over the site and will share their future plans in due course.

The closure marks the end of an era for the venue, which has been part of the local hospitality offering for more than ten years.
