Lowestoft Town Council says it is proud to be the host town for Suffolk Day in 2025.
Suffolk Day is a county-wide celebration of Suffolk - and with this year’s theme being “Celebrate the Sunrise County”, Lowestoft is the perfect location for this civic gathering.
The event will start at 9:30am in the Town Centre of Suffolk's second largest town, with the reading of the proclamation, written by local academy school students, music and the awarding of the Suffolk Medals.
Main event taking place on the stage in Lowestoft Town Centre on the junction of London Road North and Marina from 9:30am:
- Welcome from Clare, Countess of Euston, Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk
- Welcome from the Mayor of Lowestoft, Councillor Nasima Begum
- Reading of the Proclamation
- Awarding of Suffolk Medals
- Musical Performance from Suffolk Chamber Orchestra
