Hundreds of people have already flocked to a special railway exhibition as it arrived in the UK's most easterly railway station.
The Inspiration: Railway 200 Exhibition Train has been at Lowestoft Station on Denmark Road, celebrating 200 years of the modern railway.
Lowestoft is one of just two locations in the region hosting the touring exhibition this year – and today (Thursday 14th August) offer you the final chance to see.
The event features extra free attractions organised with the Lowestoft Central Project and includes:
- Left at the Junction railway photo exhibition by David Pearce (as seen on TV)
- Retro model railway displays
- Vintage bus visits
- Stalls and family activities
The Exhibition Train is a rare opportunity – there hasn’t been one in the UK for decades, and none are known to have visited Lowestoft in living memory.
Free tickets for the train can be booked here.
A small number may be available on the day for walk-ups, but most sessions are full. All other activities require no booking.
