Drivers travelling through Yoxford are being advised to plan ahead, with several closures scheduled on the A12 and B1122 this weekend and over the coming weeks.
The A12 north of the B1122 will be closed for a full weekend from 7pm on 13th February until 5am on 16th February. During this time, a diversion route will be in place via the A12, A146, A143, A140 and A14.
Further full weekend closures will affect the B1122 at Yoxford from 7pm on 20th February to 5am on 23rd February, and again from 7pm on 27th February to 5am on 2nd March. The signed diversion for these closures will run via the B1122, B1069, A1094 and A12.
In addition, the A12 south of the A1120 will be closed overnight on 23, 24 and 26 February between 8pm and 5am. The diversion route for these overnight closures will also follow the B1122, B1069, A1094 and A12.
Motorists are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys, particularly during the weekend closures, as diversion routes are likely to add significant travel time.
The works are expected to affect traffic through Yoxford and surrounding areas, especially for drivers travelling between north and south Suffolk along the A12 corridor.
