A 63-year-old man has been arrested in Lowestoft on suspicion of drugs and weapons offences.
Police stopped a vehicle in Hollingsworth Road on Saturday 16th August, where they discovered 11 bags of suspected Class A drugs. The driver also failed a roadside drugs wipe and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Following the arrest, officers searched a property in the town, where they recovered a large knife or sword from a bedroom. The man was then further arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife/bladed article.
He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has since been bailed to return to police on 24th October, pending further enquiries.
Suffolk Police continue to investigate the incident.
