Lowestoft Carnival Announces Grand Finale

Lowestoft Carnival organisers have announced a special highlight for this year’s celebrations – a small air display taking place above the seafront between Claremont Pier and South Pier.

Three aerobatic acts will take to the skies between 4.00pm and 4.30pm on Sunday 17th August, performing dynamic displays over the sea next to Royal Green.

The display includes The Vintage Pair – two Chipmunks flying in close formation, the Jubilee Pitts Special biplane known for high-energy routines, and “The Starling” – a modern Extra 300NG performing advanced aerobatics.

Des Reynolds, Carnival organiser, said the display was a way to recapture some of the spirit of the former Lowestoft Air Show and offer families a memorable spectacle. The air show replaces the traditional fireworks finale, which organisers confirmed is not possible this year.

The air display will be followed by live music froThe best views will be from the promenade, with a party band on the Carnival stage, wrapping up the event at 6.00pm.
